Metropolis

This is my project themed on the 1927 black and white film Metropolis. I created my own film which was the making of garment and transforming my 'ordinary woman into the unordinary. Metropolis features a crazed scientist who is the maker of the female robot and I wanted to recreate this in the film, bringing the robot; my model and garment to life.

As the film progresses you will see the garment and model become more alive. I use pleats along with a woven silver fabric that reflects well to create the metallic structure of my piece. By the end of the film the robot has been brought to life and roams around giving the audience a full view of the garment.
