This project was themes on Black Empowerment. Running along with my black empowerment them the aim of my project was to produce a 6 piece collection of reconstructed 100% cotton t-shirts to make them become a luxury item. I feel as if black people are labelled towards the streetwear and 'urban fashion' industries, hence why I wanted to make this collection. My garments were designed to resemble cotton flowers with their large frills and white to faded grey colour scheme, as many years of Slavery were spent in the cotton fields.
